Flung to Urantia's bowls
A curse bequeathed by the light
A grieving dawn to drown their sight
In a sea refined by fragrant blood
A future seen from crystal shads
Cried a faint requiem for shattered heart
The tyranny of God once again revealed
In the cacophony of war his heart was sealed
Cast from paradise
A horror upon fraying eyes
Scorned for all to see
The chalice of wrath to beg their pleas
With paradise a distant light
Away with Christ this unholy night
Of halos rusted, purity ousted
The serpent flew heaven's bastard
Devoid of faith, an angel that fell
Back to nature cursed with spells
To destroy Christ with madras, hell
Scream in worship Satan's hail
Unholy lord of darkest veil
With thy name we invoke hell.

If there ever was a timely album to sum up the United States in 2020, this is it. Elements of black metal, hymnals, call-and-response, sampled news audio, and Manuel's amazing voice come together to form a beautifully tortured sound.
The term 'avant-garde' is rightfully earned with every moment of this EP. mistermunn
